Fethiye
This authentic Turkish town has a wonderful character of it's own with a delightful marina and harbour front, bustling shops, bars, cafes, and restaurants. The traditional year-round Tuesday market is a favourite of locals and visitors offering a fabulous array of local home grown produce as well as everything else including clothing, leather goods and souvenirs. The old part of the town next to the sea has an amphitheatre dating back to Alexander the Great and Lycian rock tombs that have been carved into the mountainside can be spotted close by. Fethiye is a bustling historic, harbour town which nestles between glorious mountain ranges and is only 45 km away from Dalaman airport.
Knight (Sovalye) Island;
In ancient times Sovalye Island was used for the defense of Fethiye by the Knights of Rhodes. Today the island is a home to some people - there are a few cottages, a hotel and a restaurant. The boats are constantly cruising between the Fethiye and Sovalye island. It is an amazing island to spend a day for relaxing, swimming and etc.
